- Check
the coolant level.
As
a rule of thumb, the cooling system should be flushed every
other year.
- Watch
for tire wear. Tires
should be rotated every 6,000 to 8,000 miles to ensure even
wear.
- Have
the car aligned. Winter's
pothole-damaged roads can cause your car to go out of
alignment. If your vehicle is pulling to one side or tires
have worn unevenly, have the alignment and suspension checked.
- Check
brakes and brake fluid level. If
the brakes squeal or the pedal feels soft when pressed, have
the brakes inspected.
